As I mentioned in my last post, I have been working on "Valentine projects", more accurately; "cards" using my new stamps. As yet I haven't finished them, so instead I am posting a project I did a while ago. It's an "oldie but goody". I gave this to my hubby for Valentine's day 2 years ago and he loved it. It was also featured in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine (Winter 2007 issue). Here is the front of the finished coaster book (fanned out).
And here are the inside pages. I used a Maya Road coaster book as the base, covered each side of the pages with patterned papers, decorated with stickers and photos and added some fun tags and twists.
This pic shows some of the preparation of the book. Some of the journaling and titles were created on my computer and printed onto the patterned paper before attaching to the pages of the book.
I taught this class a couple of times and have the color pdf file linked here: Download TotallyUS
The coaster book is under 4" in diameter, so it's a nice size and looks great sitting on top of a stack of books on the coffee table. It's one of those things that's fun to flip through every once in a while.
