I hope you all have a lovely Easter! I don't usually get crafty for Easter, but I was inspired by Kelly Goree's easter eggs that she made for a post on Scrapbook and Cards Today blog. She was using a technique "encasing" from Vicki Boutin's new book Creative Foundations. It's great how you can use these techniques for scrapbooking and more. I really had fun with my mixed media supplies and even made my own bird's nest using papier mache (couldn't find a real bird's nest). I've still got time to make some Easter gift tags for the prezzies - I better get back to the work table.
Do you recognize that quote from the Ikea commercials? The female shopper got such a great deal that she thinks the cashier must have made a mistake and under-charged her.....she runs out of the store screaming to her hubby in the waiting vehicle "Start the car, start the car". Well, that's what I felt like today when I bought a bunch of perennial lilies for 99 cents each when they were regularly $9.99. Here are the little pretties. They're called "Tiny Bee". What a great way to celebrate this sunny Spring day!!
