I'm here to share a tutorial and instructions of a cute Halloween Treat box. We shared this recently at ScrapFest as a Make&Take with our co-sponsor Westcott and everyone loved it! So easy to make with a single piece of 8.5" X 11" cardstock, patterned papers and our latest stamp designs with Hampton Art. See detailed pics below and download the pdf instruction sheet here. Supplies ready to go.

Extend the trimmer arm and insert the 8 1/2” X 11” cardstock into the paper trimmer with the long edge at the top (horizontal). With scoring blade, score the cardstock @ 3/4”, 4 1/2”, 6 1/2” and 10 1/4”.

Turn the cardstock 90º so the short edge is at the top of trimmer (vertical). Score at: 2” and 6 1/2”. We're finished with the trimmer for making the box, but you may want it to cut your patterned papers for decorating the box.
Fold and crease all score lines then lay flat (horizontally). With steel edge ruler and pencil, measure and mark each long side 2” from middle fold lines. You will make 4 pencil lines (2 on each long side of cardstock).
Angle ruler at 2” pencil line to intersecting fold lines and score lines. Crease all folds.
Apply adhesive strips on the 4 areas marked in orange (see diagram below).

Fold and stick the 2” panels of cardstock toward the middle. Crease all folds again and pull the middle section out to form an interior box. Pull short edges of box together so it sits upright. Use your fingers or bone folder to reinforce the angled folds. To see more detail you can click on the photo to enlarge.
Decorate the front and back panels (4 1/2”w X 3 3/4”h) of the box.
Use a border punch to create a continuous border from a patterned paper strip (1.5" strip).
Glue the border pieces (front and back) to the top of box and trim excess.
Optional: To make indents in the sides of the box, open and lay flat the inside or plain side of folded cardstock. Find the middle point of small panel (inside edge) and score a "V" shape (see dotted lines on photo) with your bone folder and steel edge ruler.
Pinch the sides of the box to crease the optional folds. This gives a more finished look to the box.
I was excited to receive our latest stamps from Hampton Art, so I just had to use them. I stamped the images onto different colors of cardstock and made a few tags. I'll show you one of them here.

I stamped and cut out the spider and used dimensional adhesive so it pops off the tag. I taped embroidery thread on the back of the tag and pulled it to the front and fastened under the spider. You could let the spider hang loose if you like. I added google eyes later (forgot to take a photo - oops).

I used a white paper clip and sandwiched it between punched circles that I spread adhesive on.
You can fasten the box with a paper clip like I did or use a clothes peg or ribbon too. I tried different looks as you can see in the original group photo. I'd love to see if you make some too, add it to our facebook page and join our community. Happy Halloween!
